Skill Grand Prix Japan 2026

Competition Overview

A competition in which experienced skilled workers compete to be the best of the best in Japan

The Skill Grand Prix Japan is an event at which experienced skilled workers compete against each other to be Japan's number one for their skill, regardless of age.
Participating Competitors are all skilled workers who have passed national technical skills tests at the Special Grade, Grade 1, or Single Grade levels in their respective occupations.
All Competitors are experienced: For example Grade 1 skilled workers who have a vocational training instructor's license must have at least one year's work experience, and those without such a license must have at least seven years' work experience.
The winners are awarded prizes such as the Prime Minister's Award or the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare's Award.
